Week 12

AFC MOST DOWN

Sacked Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are tripping over their shoe strings struggling to sack the opposing QB on D and their QBs are being hit harder than lenders in the subprime mortgage market.

Our group of passing efficiency stats suggest that sack yardage, pass attempt yardage and other ratio stats which measure efficiency are the most important in separating winners from losers.

The Ravens are weak on both sides of the ball (with the offense being the puniest). Nine of our 14 offensive pass stats are rated 1st to 5th most DOWN.

The key weakness is the Sack Yardage Differential (pictured above). Note the tight correlation between the Winning Margin and this Sack Yardage Killer Stat. Every year the Ravens grew stronger their scoring differential improved. And this is the year they collapsed.

The Ravens have been shot out of the air.
