Packers at Eagles

A key stat separating winner from loser in the Green Bay Packer's playoff game in Philadelphia is yards per pass attempt. It is Bud Goode's Killer Stat.

Teams range from a low of 4 yards per pass (Arizona Cardinals) through a 6-yard average to almost 8 yards per toss (Titans).

QB Brett Favre's Packers earn 6.54 yards per attempt (6th) while the Eagle's and QB McNabb average 5.87 (18th). The Eagles are 7 points behind the league leader.

The key here is the import of the Killer Stat. Add one yard per pass to a team average contributes more than 3 1/2 points to the scoring differential.

So there is a significant difference between Packer QB Favre and Eagle's QB McNabb.

The Eagles RB Westbrook now on the list of walking wounded can run and catch. But without Westbrook the Eagle's pass offense will hurt. However, RB Correll Buckhalter earns 16.7 yards per completion, but on only 7 completions. If you stop Buckhalter you throw a wrench in the Eagles offense.

The electronic hardware is looking for an upset. Projection: Packers over Eagles by 2.
