"The Number 1 Name for Statistical Analysis in Sports"

Broncos at Colts

The Indianapolis Colts lead the league on our Killer Stat, offense, earning 8.2 yards per pass. Typically any performance stronger than 8 yards per toss leads to the Super Bowl.

The Vikes rank 2nd (7.79) and the Denver Broncos third (7.7).

So the ball will be in tie air Sunday when the Broncos visit the Colts. (See a stat graphic picturing the performance of the two contenders relative to the league.)

QB Manning's record-setting 49 passing TDs is certainly the stat of the year.

It is not just the record itself, but Manning threw only 10 INTs. The balance of 49-to-10 simply means that Manning's accuracy was totally awesome.

Leaders on this stat are happy with 2.5-to-1. Leaders frequently reach 3 TDs-to-1. One time great Cowboys' QB Don Meredith once said he thought the most important passing stat was this balance between TDs and lost INTS.

Right on, Dandy Don.

The ball will be in the air Sunday. If the two teams play to statistical form, the electronic hardware favors the Colts by 10.
