Vikings at Eagles

Eagles' QB McNabb should be handed more of the running game chores Sunday when the Vikings visit Philadelphia. Slowing the game down to deprive Vikes' QB Culpepper and WR Moss from wrecking their havoc the more successful the Eagles will be in keeping the score close.

Against the Vikings the graphs picture the logic of a "slow the game down" philosophy. The three games the Eagles lost (PIT, STL and CIN) they were weaker than average.

Flip side for the Vikes' defense. They were weaker than average in 7 games and lost all 7 (league average is the light blue line).

On our Killer Stat, Yards per Pass, Offense, the Eagles have an edge of 3.3 points.

And the Viking pass D shows the same picture. Vikes were significantly weaker than average in 7 games losing 5. Even with the loss of WR T. Owens the Eagles are very much in this contest. Eagles' offensive coordinator Childress is a smart guy. And he knows QB McNabb can run as well as pass.

Computer projection: Eagles over Vikings by 7.
