Ravens at Broncos

Ravens travel to a chily Denver to take on the Broncos. Broncos are always tough at Mile High and that's not good news for the Ravens.

Denver leads the league on our most important stat, Yards per Pass Attempt Difference. That usually means a trip to the Super Bowl. Furthermore they do it in fine fashion, leading the league on offensive yards per pass AND on defensive yards per pass allowed. Off the top of my head I can't recall a team doing this in the last 17 years.

On offense they also run the ball more than 30 times a game. QB Manning has really settled into the Coach Fox's playing style. Broncos avoid the sack and do not throw INTs. Running the ball while making your passes count is the formula for winning football.

On defense Broncos also lead the league in sacking opposing QBs. Teams that lead the league in key stats on both offense and defense are not common. No doubt about it, this Denver Broncos team is a football powerhouse.

The computer likes Denver at home by 10. While Baltimore is very solid team, above average in almost every area of the game, and without any serious weaknesses they are still overmatched. It's a situation where a very good team faces a truly elite squad. Denver, deservedly so based on the stat profile, is our pick for the Super Bowl.
