Chargers at Bengals

Another case of a fair-weather team on the road in the bitter cold of a serious winter. Chargers would be underdogs in the best of circumstances, how will they cope with the cold? They are lucky to be here for sure but that's the great thing about NFL playoffs. If you're in, you can win it all.

Chargers problem all year has been a porous defense, especially against the pass. Yielding 7.10 yards per pass attempt they are mere 0.01 yards (approximately the width of your pinky finger) from being last in the league. Ouch. They've been improving with solid efforts last two times out. See below.

On the same defensive passing stat, Bengals rank 2nd in the league allowing just 5.09 yards with many games in the 4s and 5s. That's strong D and trouble for Mr. Rivers.

No wonder the computer see a mismatch, predicting a 10-point Bengal victory. Can the Chargers upset? In a cold and icy tiger pit, not likely.
