Packers at Redskins

Packers took a step backwards this season. They failed to win their conference and must visit D.C. to take on the Redskins. The past's high-powered, high-scoring offense has fallen to league average. Responsible stat is the absolutely shocking fall from FIRST (last season) to LAST in yards per pass attempt at 5.65. After a solid start, 10 straight weeks below league average is not the stuff of championship contenders. See chart below.

2015 through Week 17

The Redskins roared home to take the division from the fading Giants and Eagles (both Head Coaches gone). They did it with a point-scoring run and the key independent stat was our old friend, yards per pass attempt, propelling the 'Skins to 6th rank overall at 7.3 yards per attempt. See chart below.

2015 through Week 17

Can Packers' QB Rodgers pull a rabbit out of a past-seasons' hat? Always possible but I'll go with the recent trends and say Redskins take this game. The computer somewhat agrees and likes Washington at home by a point.
