Raiders at Texans

Oakland takes their impressive 12-4 record to Houston, nearly winning a tough AFL West crown. But they're injured: down two QBs. You would have to expect their passing game to take a hit. Houston, also with QB injuries will start their season-opening QB who put up modest numbers. With little stat info to go on, both offenses appear a question mark for our computer.

Defensive stats give us something to look at. See: Opponent Yards per Pass Attempt Allowed, our Killer Stat, Defense which gives the edge to Houston. Texans rank 4th, allowing a measly 5.83 yards per pass while the Raiders occupy the bottom spot, giving up a whopping 7.8 yards per oppenent pass. This could be a good opportunity for the Texan QB to turn around a lackluster start with his new team. See the chart, below, Oakland Raiders, Opp Yards per Pass Allowed.

The computer projects Oakland by 2, based on stats earned during the entire season. It doesn't know about the QB injuries and can't account for this. I'll side with Houston.
