Raiders at Bengals

Las Vegas Raiders go to Cincinnati to meet the Bengals. The AFC-Central-winning Bengals used a big-pass game in a successful '21 season campaign. Bengals ended up in a near tie for the league lead on our key killer stat offense, yards per pass attempt, at 7.65. That's close to the magic 8.00 figure of likely Super Bowl invitees. See the chart at the link above.

This stat is pictured in the graph below. Stronger than league average in all but four games, Cincy is a pass-throwing powerhouse.

2021 through Week 17

Yards per Pass Attempt - Cincinnati Bengals

However, the Raiders are not that far behind on offensive yards per pass. (see the chart above where they rank 5 at 6.99.) Both teams sit mid-pack on the defensive side of the passing game as seen here, Killer Stat, Defense; a high-scoring contest should be in prospect.

Our computer likes the Bengals by a whopping 12.5 points after giving them 3 points for the home field. That looks like too many to me. I'll say the Raiders keep it close in a high total-points shootout. Should be an exciting game.
