Steelers at Chiefs

The Steelers and Big Ben get one more shot at the playoffs. Unfortunately, it's vs the Chiefs in KC. Our computer likes the Chiefs by 11.5, a big deficit to overcome. After a lackluster start, losing 4 of their first 7, the Chiefs have re-established themselves as strong Super Bowl contenders. Their major weapon, QB Mahomes throwing arm, is racking up yards as per the past couple of years. Here is their weekly chart of yards per pass attempt, below.

On the other hand, the Pittsburgh Steelers have not had much success throwing the ball. It's suggestive of retirement time for Ben and this may turn out to be his last game. He's had a fine run. Steelers rank 28th of 32 on our killer stat, offense. Hard to imagine they can score enough points to beat the surging Chiefs.

I'll go along with our computer on this one and look for a relatively easy KC victory.
