For example: The sack correlates 35% with giveaways which cost 5 points each. and 30% with yards per pass attempt (the most important stat separating winners from losers). Improve just one yard per toss and you add 3+ points per game. The sack also impacts total yards earned, yards per play and field position as measured by yards per TD (all at the 25% level).
