Texans at Ravens

Texans thrashed the Browns last week and move on to Baltimore. The task becomes tougher as they now face our favorite for AFC representation in the Super Bowl.

Houston's modest pass defense, 25th ranked bucked up and stopped the Browns, collecting 4 QB sacks and 2 INTs while the Texans' offense had zero and zero. Huge edge to Texans. Our computer was on the right side of this one, not me.

Baltimore figures to take better care of the football. They play ball control and when they do it well -- they win.

Slight edge to the Ravens' on the offensive side of our Killer Stat chart, (Yards per Pass attempt), Killer Stat, Offense. Ravens rank 4th, Texans rank 6th, pretty close. Houstons' capable offense may keep them in the game.

Ravens' pass D was league's best, with Texans' coming in at 25th. Killer Stat, Defense. Our computer likes Ravens by 15.5 points after giving them 3 points for the home field. Again, our computer has tabbed the Ravens and 49ers for the Super Bowl. I doubt the Ravens misfire on offense they way Cleveland did. I'm siding with our computer this time: Big win for Ravens.
