Bengals at Bills

After outlasting their opponents, the Bengals and the Bills meet in Buffalo. This is a matchup of two excellent football teams. Slight edge to the Bills with a little extra for playing at home.

Have a look at the weekly Predict Report, which includes a stat matchup table at the bottom of the page. The two stat profiles match up pretty well.

Here we see our key passing offense stat, killer stat, offense, where the Bills rank 4th and Bengals rank 10th.

On pass defense, the Bills also get a slight edge: killer stat, defense. Bills rank 6th and Bengals 12th. So an overall, offense minus defense, advantage to Bills.

Both teams can move the ball on the ground, so they have options when calling plays. It will be interesting to see how each team puts together their game plan.

Our computer likes the Bills at home by 5 including 3 for playing on their home field. That's not a big edge. Even though we've been high on Buffalo all season, that small (just 2 points on a neutral field) difference suggests this game should be close. Bengals ran their streak to 9 -- they are playing great. I'm going to weasel out on this and say it could go either way, too close for me to call. Should be a fun game to watch.
